Members of the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma visited Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and donated $1 million to fund a lab dedicated to Alzheimer’s research. The check was presented on behalf of the state’s 30,000 Freemasons.
"The most horrible part of Alzheimer’s disease is that families lose their loved ones long before they pass away,” foundation President Steve Prescott said in a news release. "We consider theMasonic Charity Foundation partners in OMRF’s research, and their generous gift will help people across the state and around the world.”
Members who visited the foundation were from Blanchard, Del City, Edmond, Guthrie, Norman, Shawnee, Woodward, Bartlesville, Cushing and Holdenville.
