Haiti
Using these pictures posted in a blog of a Brother we exhibit the status of the Temple of our Haitian Brethren after the dreadful earthquake that stroke the little island of the Caribe, recently. The pictures have a powerfull message and is double: Freemasonry as Order of Free Men respectful of its traditions and praying to God as our Creator will raise always from the ashes, even when nature or the hands of Men try to crash her; Light will prevail over darkness and Hope will shine dearly, even when Hope seems just an imperfect sun behind dark clouds. A larger movement of solidarity for our Haitian Brethren went through the ranks of our Order, all over the world. We are sure that with time and support the Temple will be reestablished in all its splendor; the spirit is already there. God bless you all and protect you, Brethren.

Children in the village of Kamar Kalun, Myanmar, attend class in a temporary school after Cyclone Nargis in 2008. Save the Children supported the school's reopening after the disaster.
Save the Children’s emergency education programs address children’s psychosocial well-being. Programs offer structure and a place to interact with other children in positive and developmental ways. And, for very young children, semi-structured, safe environments for learning, playing and socializing promote healthy cognitive, social, physical and emotional development. Save the Children was the international NGO chosen by Luz do Oriente as recepient for the supporting the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.

Masons donate to Haiti relief effort
The brethren of Shamokin Lodge No. 255 Free and Accepted Masons, under the leadership of Ed Hancock, Worshipful Master, presented checks totaling $200 to the Schuylkill-Northumberland County Chapter of the American Red Cross Monday.
in their relief efforts to help the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake the recently hit the nation.
“Charity is the corner stone in Freemasonry, extending outward to touch the lives of all men and women who are in need while facing tragedies such as that which occurred in Haiti. It is because of this principle or core value that we as Freemasons in the greater Shamokin area urge citizens, as well as other service and community groups, to come to the aid of our brothers and sisters in Haiti,” Hancock said. “Freemasonry, although not a religion, is tied to all major religions because of its belief in one God and the universal benevolence He asks us to exhibit. Charity, or kindness towards our neighbor, is one of the standards by which Freemasons live,” he added.
Accepting the check for The Red Cross was Elizabeth “Betty” Katona, Kulpmont, a past board chair and current member of the local chapter’s Board of Directors. Katona thanked the local lodge and its members, and encouraged others in the community to also get involved and support this most important and vital relief effort. Katona has been a volunteer for the American Red Cross since 1943 and is still active as a judge in local high school swim meets.

Solidarity for Haiti
International freemasonry is moving itself to assist the Brethren and the haitian people in distress. The Grand Lodge of Connecticut puts itself in front of the international campaigns. But it is our belief that other will come from the Masonic world. Macau freemasons will be involved in the international campaign to raise funds and put them, easily, at the service of our Brethren in Haiti.
News will be put on-line soon.
