French Freemasonry

French blogs and newspapers acknowledge some movements within the Grand Loge Nationale Française to oppose the Grand Master François Stifani. The opponents hide themselves behind one of the characters of The Magic Flute, Papageneo. It is always painful to assist to any movement to create a secession within Regular Freemasonry. Every Grand Master has its own style of leadership and the profile of its role in the Order allows different outcomes, some more consensual, others more musculated. It seems that behind this "movement" is the politics of Grand Master Stifani in African former French colonies. In a recent dossier about freemasonry in Nouvelle Observateur the above reasoning was the basic argument of Grand Orient de France statement to the journalist.
