The freemasonry in the description of the Grand Orient de France

There is a basic difference between what is called here the liberal freemasonry and regular freemasonry. Liberal freemasonry doesn't include the reference to the Grand Architect of the Universe as a basic landmark; regular freemasonry do it. Most probably there are political and historical causes for that discrepancy.  It lays probably in the traditional competition and animosity between France and England. For the French to recognize the United Grand Lodge of England as the mother lodge of all freemasonries should be something unthinkable. There are traces of our modern freemasonry both to our British and French ancestors. The jacobities found in France the refuge they search when they escape from Queen Elizabeth persecutions in England. With some sort of certainty we may find the origin of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in the way former British freemasons practice the Royal Art in the United Kingdom. It kept the philosophical reasoning [of the French] what may be considered weird for British standards [and ears]. The British freemasons don't assert a special role for the reflexion about the Masonic doctrine and philosophy, namely the central piece that the work of architecture [prancha] has in this rite all over the world. The raising of workers to the second and the third degree is in the York and Emulation Rites, basically administrative.
